Who selects an interviewee?

Open Interview selects the interviewee (a) based on the suggestions by the followers/ users of our blog and (b) recommendations by the internal review team of Open Interview. Based on this collective recommendation, the person is selected for interviewing.

How often the interviews or new interview-posts will be shared on this blog?

We aim to feature at least two interviews every month. However, the frequency of the new interview-posts solely depends on the availability and readiness of the experts/interviewees.

Why are many of the interviews so lengthy?

Yes, the interview transcripts are really lengthy. Open Interview purposely prefers to carry out the exclusive interviews. Thus we prefer to raise as many questions as possible in order to cover most of the aspects on micro-subject/topic. Ultimately, the purpose is to capture more ideas of the interviewee for the benefit of our readers.

What if there is/are any discrepancies found in the questions or answers in the interview posts?

You can raise the issue with the Open Interview team (info@openinterview.org). It will review the complaint/issue and take necessary action.

I found some comments are reposted on the blog from different social networking sites. Why is it so?

Yes, sometimes we do so as to get the comments on one place.

I have asked questions in the comment box of a blog post or interview. Can I get answers from the interviewee?

You may or may not. Open Interview will try its level best to get answers to your questions but it is subject to the consent of the interviewee to respond.

How do you conduct interviews?

It depends on the preference of the interviewee; it could be conducted personally if the interviewee is based locally. Most of the time, we use one or two options to carry out the interviews such as Skype, chats, email and phone calls.
